Wasif Ali Wasif Biography Wasif Ali Wasif was born on January 15, 1929, in Khushab. His father’s name was Malik Muhammad Arif, and he belonged to the ancient and respected Awan tribe there. He is a man of aphorisms, whose proverbs are almost used worldwide. Among all, he was a great Sufi writer and poet who used his pen to reform society. He is famous for his unique literary style. He wrote poetry in Urdu and Punjabi. Probably no contemporary Urdu writer is more cited in Quation than he is.

He passed the middle school examination at Govt High School, Khushab. After that, he went to Jhang with his grandfather. He passed Matric from Govt High School in Jhang in 1949. Then M.A. in English literature. He also passed the civil service examination on June 3, 1954.

Wasif Ali chose to teach. He also passed the CSS exam, but he did not pass it due to his lack of clarity of mind. Wasif was a good hockey player. receiving many awards. He is best known as the master of aphorism, and he can describe meanings. Having an interest in Sufism in childhood changed his life, as did many Sufi intellectuals.

Famous works

Most of his writing is about Guftagoo, a complete literary series that contains 25 volumes and is available in audio and Urdu. Despite writing books, he also wrote columns regularly for the daily newspaper “Nawa-i-Waqt.”
